Musgrave RSA Target Rifle and Archer barrel

#1 Post by JohanM »

Do anyone know if Border Barrels ever built rifles? I have a Musgrave RSA action, stamped with serial number BOR-BAR XXXX and a Archer 30 inch, 1 in 14 twist Archer Barrel. From reading up it was Border Barrels' buttoned barrels. The stock had a very good bedding job done, best I have seen.

Border made Archer (a barrel brand name of Border i belive), & became Sassen Eng, & thats now Phoenix barrels I belive.

As gunsmiths they almost certainly assembled rifles for customers as well as made barrels. So may have done bedding & put their name on the gun.
