Happy Christmas all from an island

#1 Post by Ovenpaa »

Well I did say the goal was to retire to an island with Christel, the dogs and a dinghy or two. We arrived on Tuesday very late after many hours of driving in torrential rain with James my son at the wheel.

The plan now is to walk, cycle and sail myself back to good health and normality and I am reckoning on a year. I doubt guns will figure much in my life from now on although Christel has said she fancies a 9mm and it would rude not to give it a go...

Happy Christmas all and take care.

Couldn't you find somewhere a bit more rural to get away from it all?

Have a great Christmas - what's left of it, anyway! lollol

More rural, not easily!

The key bit was do the snow ploughs come out this far and apparently they do.

You seem to have everything there that you need to achieve your goals. Wishing you both the best in whatever you choose to do - I know you will make a success of it. Take care.

Looks like you've stepped off the treadmill and found a bit of heaven there. Best wishes to both of you.
