Kids single shot .410

#1 Post by Pippin89 »

Hi all. I'm after a first gun for my daughter. Looking at a Yildiz TK 36 but thought it was worth asking here in case anyone has something suitable.
Needs to be light, she is nearly 8, tall for her age but a slight build. Preferably folding, not bold action.
She has shot my missus' 20b with me supporting the gun and wants to shoot on her own but it's too heavy for her.

Definitly check out Southams.

I picked up a BSA folding .410 for £4.
Compared it with my buddies Yildiz and it is noticeably heavier (even though the yildiz had a longer barrel) but then the Yildiz is a couple hundred quid usually.

Though it is worth noting i spent an hour or so making a new part for it as the bit that pushed the extractor disintegrated when i stripped it for cleaning.

Yeah I had a scroll through Holts and found a couple of suitable ones. Might pop a low bid on one and see what happens.
