Strange - just checked back here to look up the alternative brand that had been suggested (think it was Mossberg?), but now it has been deleted?

Much appreciated and plenty of food for thought. goodjob
These bits really help (note to self):
Personally I would wait and see how it goes ...
Changing a rifle can be a long and frustrating ...
If … I think you will need to spend more that £500 on a rifle.
fullbore I typically shoot around 200-300 rounds ...
"varmint" or "super varmint" ……. well suited for target shooting.

Have you thought about a CAM rifle?
  • wooden .223
  • 5.56/.223
  • older design
  • bipod can be fitted
  • fast twist, different length barrels available
  • takes M16/AR15 mags of various capacity from about 5rounds to 40rounds if you want or even drum mags
  • fast action (22 or so degree bolt throw)
  • not too many made so getting rare and a talking piece on the range
  • easy to replace barrel when worn out.
  • within your budget
Do a search for BMS CAM rifle on google to see them.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
