My Anschutz is 34 years old so no rotating sights. Although I have seen a rearsight that rotates to counter the effect of cant it was still necessary to adjust, as the foresight was still set at right angles to the barrel. Not much to worry about over 25 - 100yds and as long as you had knowledge of your sights it was easy to adjust everything in a couple of seconds.
As I say, I simply set up a target at 100yds with my 17Hmr and had a witness board made of a large piece of white paper around it. It was easy enough to see where the first shot went and then sight in accordingly; much simpler than starting at 25yds and then finding out you are a couple of inches high at 100yds and then STILL have to sight in.
Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
