Remington Nylon 66

Is anyone shooting a Remington Nylon 66 ? This a rifle that has always interested me, as was an innovator in its day. Wonder how well they shoot. You do see the odd one for sale in the UK.

Shooter at the club has one and it is very accurate.
Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

I remember seeing the ads in the shooting press when they were introduced - probably "Guns Review". There was a chap shooting hundreds of 2x2" wooden blocks consecutively when tossed in the air.

Good bit of Nylon 66 info on Forgotten Weapons, including a strip down.

Love mine. Lightweight, accurate and very rapid rate of fire (if you’re that way inclined!). Straight forward to strip and clean. No oil needed due to plastic. Getting hard to find ones in decent condition (no cracking in the stock, block, etc.). Very collectible stateside these days. Often get dismissed because they are lightweight and plastic, but it is a 22 after all, so more than adequate for intended purpose imo. IIRC the green colour ones are hen’s teeth.
