No to lead ban petition

I will be at Bisley Live Sep 30th to Oct 2nd, stand No. 161 on Siberian Road if anyone would like to sign the petition to say no to a wider ban on lead shot and ammo. It's been through the committee so it reads like its been written by a camel.

PETITION - NO TO LEAD SHOT BAN

For the attention of: The Secretary of State, DEFRA

We the undersigned do not see any unequivocal evidence to support a ban on lead used for shot and ammunition for shooting.

We believe that the science to support the ban on the use of lead for wildfowling was misrepresented and misleading, and we further believe that The Secretary of State, DEFRA should give serious consideration to redrafting the existing Statutory Instrument against its use.

An investigation into the dangers of lead substitutes would also appear advisable, given that the use of lead free ammunition has had to be suspended in some instances due to the possibilities of associated health problems.
