On the question of A Max's spoke to my local reloading shop, asked his opinion "they were designed as Target so they are target" all things expand his words "If I throw you at the wall you'd expand"
He then asked how many did I want,..... I already have some in stock.

Because Thomas Hamilton loaded it into his pistols on that fateful day.......
However, come the Firearms Act re-write, which will happen, I expect to see it drop back to S.1. ACPO even made the suggestion in their submission to the HAC.....
I remember that.Im sure he alternated FMJ's with hollow points, but (and i dont mean this to sound flippant) the end result was the same regardless.
Apologies for the late response however the subject you have highlighted has raised considerable discussion at this end and at the moment I am seeking clarification on this matter in conjunction with other Scottish Police Forces so as to ensure consistency of approach.
I will come back to you as soon as I can with the information you are seeking however should you wish to discuss the matter further then please do not hesitate to contact me on the following number.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Or we could keep quiet and not give them an another opprtunity to make life difficult! :cool2:
“The standard you walk past is the standard you accept.”
Why would you want to phone your local firearms dept up you are just stirring a hornets nest up?It states on the A-MAX boxs that they are match that is surely good enough. There are enough restrictions in this country never mind having more.Yes i do use A-MAX bullets because they are accurate however i also use expanding either way what ever i shoot at is dead.Just my opinion.
Richard, it's already stirred up as Devon & Cornwall have classed them as expanding. Clarification has to be sought before some poor bugger ends up in jail for possession of A-maxs.

Are you still waiting a responce from tayside Mike?
I've a visit tomorrow if i remember i'l ask the feo when he comes.
Mike surely if this went to court Devon and Cornwell would back down, its just another case of firearms depts acting like gods. They did not write the laws they are there to uphold the laws.A-MAX bullets are not classed as expanding they are match bullets.Im surprised BASC have not taken this up.
