Anyone loading for the 44 Remington magnum using Vit 310, can you suggest a starting load. 200grain cast boolit. For use in a marlin underlever.
Re: Marlin 44 Remington Magnum load data wanted.
Oops wrong powder should of been N110.
Re: Marlin 44 Remington Magnum load data wanted.
N110, like H110, is designed for full power magnum loads. There is not a great deal of movement between minimum and maximum. Likewise, minimum should not be gone below because of performance issues.
The Lyman Cast Bullet Manual lists a 200gn bullet, of #2 alloy from a Saeco mold as 22.2gns starting and 24.5 maximum. Going to rattle teeth, Dave!

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Rifle data 20" barrel quotes 210grain No2 alloy 19.3 to 21.5 grains. Page 209.
I should have looked at the Lyman manual first. Forgot I had it till your post prompted me. I ran it through quickload and the numbers make sense.
