I was casting yesterday with my 10lb Lee Production Pot1V electric melter and noticed that the pot was canted forward slightly and not horizontal to the base.
That bothered me in case the 2 screws holding the pot to the base were coming loose and the last thing I wanted was 10lb of molten alloy in my lap!.
I turned it off and once it had cooled, I checked the 2 holding screws and they were tight.
I can see the logic of having the pot tilted slightly forward to make sure the alloy drains through the spout.
Does anyone else use this melter and if so, is the pot canted forward slightly or level?
