Essentially the easy part has been suggesting a way to make CMR's legal, the hard part is getting a uk dealer to somehow convince Kel tec they can make money selling them here and it be worth their while to ship some out with a permanently attached brake or anything to get the barrel at a point where the oal is at least 24.5 inches to keep us in the realm of section 1. Keltec make quirky stuff but a lot it requires some mods to be uk legal

Or an RFD with section 5 & an import/export licence who's willing to bring some in & let their in-house gunsmiths add an extension on them over here... There's several out there, I'd pitch the idea to where I work but unless he knew there was money in it then it'd be a no goer.

it can't come in as sec5, unless they are getting gun parts and assembling. thats why alan westlake is limited to what base revolvers he can get
When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns

Only two companies offer ammo that would be suitable to most people for a CMR, namely a FMJ WMR, CCI and S&B....

To me, the whole idea's a non starter.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Calibre Innovations have announced they're bringing in a limited run of UK spec CMR-30's. £1145. Massively hiked price over the US counterpart but still a hell of a lot cheaper than a .22wmr AR from NWCP or Guncraft AND with a proven 'hi-capacity' magazine. Could be a go-er for someone in the market for a semi .22WMR, must admit i'm tempted! :p

It will be UK spec by having a stop on the telescopic stock which means it can't be fully collapsed which translates to about 1.5-2.5" less travel to retain the 24" OAL.

Don't think there's any details on there website, this is from their Facebook page.

Just looked at one of online videos, interesting bolt, it must have sufficient mass to delay breech opening I would guess.

The general quality of .22lr/WMR Firearms has certainly improved over the last decade.

When you look back at the likes of the poor GSG5
(absolute junk) when it was introduced, something that you would struggle to sell today.

One of the exceptions to that rule is Chiappa, I've tried to help a few people to get their M4's running reliability and shoot straight.

Very poor Indeed....

Definitely interested but would prefer an LBP even more, such as the Kel-Tec PMR-30 (adapted of course). Something that would feel a bit closer to 9mm to shoot.

Perhaps if this works out well for them then it could be a possibility later. Where do you get a good source of ammo for a .22 wmr though? Especially as it can't be hollow point for a target shooter only.

Carbine is more appealing to me but I'd certainly welcome a PMR LBP :good:

Providing you're not shooting linatex or some other range material that is badly damaged by hollow points there's nothing to stop you. Remember expanding ammo is no longer Sec5/requires a special condition on your FAC.

9mm wasn't easy to come by before the lever-release rifles became popular, when i first started with mine it was decades old boxes of PPU left over from the 'good old days' and even then I was having to drive 1-2hrs to pick it up. With a couple of different .22WMR AR-15 style rifles coming out and this I'd imagine it will get easier to put your hands on :good:
