Just started reloading for my 6.5 creedmoor.
Only powder I have for it is apparently a little fast for heavier projectiles.
I’m thinking of trying 147 grain eld m projectiles so I’ve been researching mainly us forums.
Guess what every powder that looks ideal is not allowed in the uk any more.
What are the experts on here using?

Viht N550/160/560, Reload Swiss RS62, and if you can find any, the recently introduced IMR-4451 will all work with this combination. Ramshot Hunter also works well for some people.
That's with 139-143gn bullets, but the 147gn version shouldn't be that different in terms of the internal ballistics.

I’m guessing you haven’t seen posts like these in the US re the 147gr coming apart mid-air....

Re: 6.5 creedmoor powder choice
Interesting.
If I’ve understood that correct and I’m not by any means an expert in Reloading I’m still pretty new to it they are using over maximum stated powder loads to shoot 2900 FPS or around there
The loads I’ve been looking at were 2650-2700 with maximum powder charges so perhaps wouldn’t be an issue for me. I doubt I need to go for a very high speed I just do this for fun I’m not competing I just want to push out and try longer ranges plus I don’t want to wear my barrel out prematurely
See attached ic for some info I found

I've been using 39gr rl17 behid a 140 gr amax and getting excellent results , a little more , 39.2 saw a marked increase in pressure with no apparent increase in either velocity or accuracy . This using large primer Starline brass, loaded to fit my AICS magazine.
