I agree with Blackstuff. When writing to these people you always need to ask 'how can they turn what I'm saying to their advantage? How can this backfire'?

Actually got a reply from my local MP (See below)! I've sent her the two attachments from the FCSA, but I need more ideas for reasoned arguments against banning MARS rifles also. I know lots has been discussed in this thread before, but can anyone give me any short, sharp points that I can put across to her?
I don't want to waffle on to her as I don't know how long these surgeries last for and there's a chance I may forget something if I start rambling!

*Dear Brian,

Thank you for taking the time to get back in touch with me on an issue which I remember we corresponded on late last year. Thank you also for the attachments I will of course read through these as soon as I can.

I think it would be good to meet with you face to face to discuss this issue in more detail if you would be interested? I have copied in my caseworker Holly who will be happy to let you know of the dates and times of my upcoming surgeries.

Thank you again for contacting me.

Kind Regards
HH1

Posting 'shocking' news without any details is bad form. Along the lines of people who post check-ins at hospitals on Facebook waiting for people to start asking them whats happened, rather than just telling people from the outset. Just sayin'. teanews

Well I was hoping that someone would be able to "officially" post up what has been happening over the last couple of days....... letters have been sent out and an important meeting took place yesterday at 4pm ......
