It served the Czech army well for many years.

While I agree they are possible one of the fugliest service rifles ever created, the accuracy of mine now i'm reloading for it is more than adequate for the rifle type and a 16" barrel at 1-1.5" @ 100m. Easily knocks down ETR targets out to 600m when fitted with an ACOG too.

I can smash down figure 11's at 300m all day with it, using a red dot and the nastiest steel cased ammo you can find. Awesome fun and well worth the money.

I've shot one in the original form in the Czech Republic, and the stock is a bit short for me. Otherwise it's a vast improvement on the AK, much better build quality.
Careful now/that sort of thing

I can honestly say I have never seen one in fact I had never heard of one until people started refering to them in another topic on the forum. I obviously lead a very sheltered life.

From a thread titled Re: VZ58 MARS 223 vs 7.62x39 in 2015 you said
Alpha1 wrote:The 7.62x39 is a cracking cartridge I'm having great fun with it I'm currently playing with cast loads. I have had several .223 calibre rifles in the past boring boring. I'm talking about bolt action rifles I had never heard of the VZ58 MARS until I read this thread I googled it probably the ugliest rifle I have ever seen in my life.
You really need to see your GP about your memory and get checked out.
