762 x 39 & 762 x 54 now in UK

I don't live in mainland Europe.
So how do I get ammo on my fac by email???????
Apart from one place that is charging £45 per 100 for 762 x 39 I couldn't find any.
If there is so much about please tell.

May be its time to consider reloading your own Henry Kranks sells every thing you need to roll your own for £4 postage. I reload 7.62x39 for a lot less than £45. Over the years I have owned at least four rifles in 7.62x54 I found it cheaper to re load for them and the ammo fitted to the gun shot a lot better than the milsurp stuff.

Google is your friend, I have just found 7,62x54R at the equivalent of GBP23.00/100 and 7,62x39 at GBP34/100 and I know they deal with the trade. If you have a reasonable relationship with your local RFD he should be able to bring them in with ease with some postage charges on top.

The PPU is OK. The cases are OK to. I have used PPU cases Kranks also sell the bullets. I use Lapua cases now a days for my 7.62x39. I also have Lapua cases in 7.62x54.

I acquired a 527 Carbine a few months ago on the basis of the U.S. Reports of how well they shot Milsurp.

Mine can shoot spam can into 1" groups at 100 - the set trigger is lovely.

7.62x39 milsurp shoots just fine, as does 54r, in the context of what it is designed for.It isn't "tack driver" ammo but out to 300m the x39 isn't bad and the 54r is good to 900m on Fig11's.I reload some ammo for the Dragunov as I can get sub-MOA groups out of it but I can't reload for it cheaper than I can get milsurp.....and I wouldn't entertain reloading for the AKM and SKS as x39 milsurp is cheap enough and I definitely couldn't reload for it cheaper than I can get milsurp, plus I work full-time and haven't got the time especially as I can easily get through a few hundred rounds a time at Sennybridge.

I'm not convinced the sanctions against Russia would have an effect on supplies of x39 and 54r as no Russian ammunition producers (LVE Novosibirsk being one of the biggest and the main plant for Russian military ammunition) are on the list of sanctioned companies and neither are any Russian ammunition wholesalers.......infact the US Department of Defence are buying Russian ammunition from Russia to supply the Afghan/Iraqi army and police plus whoever else they supply that still use weapons chambered in Russian military calibres.

What could have an effect is the the fact that the majority of x39 and 54r ammo we were getting over here was from Ukrainian stocks (as were many of the Mosins UK dealers were importing) and as we all know what is going on over there I would say they have a more pressing need for it themselves and are hanging on to what they've got.They are loads of former ComBloc countries in Europe that have massive stocks of x39/54r that I am sure could be alternate suppliers that UK wholesale importers could tap into.Bulgaria,Hungary,Romania, the Balkan States and Poland immediately spring to mind and Germany also "inherited" millions of rounds following the Reunification.
