Well i nipped down to ammozone in harpenden as Chris mentioned he had some 38 smith and wesson... 5 hour round trip costing me 30 quid in fuel for this little haul

9mm was 21p a round for just over 600 rnds
And 500 38 S&W at 31p a bang

Very pleased

I thought so!

I need to check the brass once firing some to see if the brass is reloadable, if it is, I need to cancel the order with spud that was placed on the 17-03 that i'm still waiting on. 100 relcom brass for £35! unless it was only ordered in for me that is in which case I'll honour it

Spud reloading ---------------------------------------- least said the better. I have never had a good experience with the guy.

Where abouts in Harpenden is Ammozone? The wife's parents live in roundwood so would be good to know in the future when we are down as could pop in.

Cheers

You'd need an appointment as it's his house. It's just down from the common heading out of town. It's c&g too so lots of nice guns to look at while you're there

My problem is that when I started reloading, I was newly married and poor. Hence, I have never bought factory ammunition or even bullets----everything is cast at home. Now 50 years have passed and I could afford to buy factory ammo, but I am permanently mentally conditioned---the thought of paying 31p a bang for 38 special, or any calibre for that matter, just makes me shiver!
