Ok, so it was only out of two in my category (lever-release open)
I went to Carlisle to see how the unicorn performed. It was flawless, me - not so much - particularly on the first stage...
...but, it was still great fun - with the .22 mini-rifle and LBP being very popular.
I even bumped into some FB forum members
I'd highly recommend it to anyone with a 22 semi, LBP, an LBR or lever action (or especially someone with a lever-release as long as you're slow...)

Well done mate, it's all good practice for big boy comps

Even with 50% more competitors in my category, I'm pretty sure I could make the top 3... clapclapOvenpaa wrote:Bravo that man!

It was good to meet you and you ran your lever release very well for the amount of time you've had on it
Hope you got home at a reasonable time!

Thanks - likewise. Are you planning to head to any of the LBF comps down saff later in the year?Blackstuff wrote:It was good to meet you and you ran your lever release very well for the amount of time you've had on it

Got home about 11:00pm - I was up until about 1am meticulously cleaning the LR though. Any other rifle would have had to wait until the next day.

Re: Second place in my first-ever UKPSA LBF competition
And I thought 815pm was bad enough!
I haven't signed up for any of the other LBF matches yet. I think the next one is in Birmingham at the start of April but I'm on a stag do that weekend so its unlikely i'll be in a fit state to go, plus there's the first Lvl3 PSG match the weekend after at North Cotes so I might be pushing my luck with the missus!
Will definitely be going to the 2 gun steel match at Tall Trees on 16th April but that's .22 only, don't know if you have a rifle/pistol for that?
