Hera arms use the same designs (to a degree) as Lantac, great rifle generally, fit and finish not quite on par with Lantac but better than Schmeisser who make completely AR clones.

The only thing that puts me off them is the T Bar cocking, when shooting prone its a pain having to lift your head off the stock to cycle a round,

What is a Sapper? This versatile genius condenses the whole system of military engineering and all that is useful and practical. He is a man of all work of the Army and the public ready to do anything or go anywhere, in short, he is a Sapper.

Supplied a few of those last year ( dont remember if same manufacturer but certainly the same design ) and buyers seemed happy.

Sorry for posting in wrong section , thanks for the replies , like that charging handle adaption .
Out of interest whats the make of rifle in that youtube vid , and it seems from replies that a Hera AR15 in .223 should be a decent buy ?
Thanks Charlie

IMO a charging handle like that is not a long term solution.

I had one with a different design but similar idea a few years ago, and after repeated use it snapped.

Dont think they are made to withstand constant use, and dealing with extraction as opposed to simply cocking the action once every thirty rounds as they would be used in the US.

Tbh could live with charging handle as is to start and change if I need to , more important is the Hera one of the better off the shelf Ar rifles without getting something built by specialists like Lantac or Bradley which I think I won't be able to afford at the moment.
