I had someone pop in the other day to collect a rifle that he want to 'Slot Mutjac' with, we all have different terms for it at the end of the day. Around here the word kill is never used in polite circles, nor is managing or culling or similar. It is usually Stalking, Foxing or Rabbiting unless it is 'A Shoot'

So "blootering the b@stards" wouldn't be appropriate then?

We do get some sort of an enjoyment out of it but not sure it can be classed as fun.now decoying for crows and pigeons that more of fun thing.2 of you in a hide having the banter on a easy miss.when one of you go out to put some dead birds into the cradles take the cartridges out your mates gun etc.rifle shooting is way more serious out hunting.on the range it's fun.the banter is the best part and if you shoot well even better.

I have no issues with roost shooting however I am not sure I could cope with decoying as I prefer to be either prone or standing/moving.

Banter is good. One still October afternoon I put four consecutive shots into a 5" disk at 1200 yards with a near bog standard AI (Trigger upgrade and my own sound moderator) chambered in 6,5x47. The fifth fell low right and the chap next to me gleefully announced that he had always known I was a crap shot lol

Incidentally, that is also one of my overland rifles.

I've owned a .300WSM rifle for the past three years. Whilst it's a perfectly shootable calibre, the idea of using it for practical rifle seems pretty mad to me. Have you actually shot a .300WSM rifle, it's not the most easily handled calibre.
