Re: Orsis 120
Orsis rifles are excellent, I have had the pleasure of putting a few rounds through a T-5000 and was very, very impressed. The accuracy and build quality are second to none.

Re: Orsis 120
How it was:
I decided to have a new one rifle in 6.5 mm(.260rem, 6.5x47 or 6.5 grendel), but the situation on our market wasn't good for my wish(sanctions) . There was no rifles in this calibers except 6.5 x55, so there were only few ways to get it:
1)To buy Tikka T3 and rebarrel it to another caliber
2) to place an order for custom rifle
This two ways were expensive, at this reason the decision was delayed to the better time.
Once I found what the guys are trying to make a deal with Orsis to start a manufacture of small batch of 120 model rifle in non common caliber. I have make a decision to have a part in this project. As the result they was born following order for rifle:
Orsis 120
Caliber 6.5x47
Barrel length 22"
Twist rate 1: 8 (carbonitrited internal surface)
Barrel profile: semiheavy(19mm in muzzle with M16x1 thread)
Standard wood stock
Weaver scope base included
---
Total value ~ 990 GBP
....
After 5 weeks of waiting the rifles were ready, and I visited Orsis shop.
, Variety of Orsis:

T-5000( sorry, other rifles in Siria and Iraq
)

After one hour of paper work I received my rifle:

Control target was included:

Re: Orsis 120

There were some surprizes form Orsis:
Free muzzle brake
5R barrel rifling(cut rifling insted of button rifling)
Scpecial color of ceracote coating.
Original wood stock have a rough finishing(IMHO). It's smooth but it look like it's need to be coated by additional layer of oil. I have solved this problem by changing of wood stock to laminated stock what was presented from one of my friends.
Re: Orsis 120
Are not Orsis caught up with sanctions against Russia, same as Oleg not being able to source Saiga's any more.
Nice rifles caught up in Geopolitics.

Re: Orsis 120
ORSIS seems to be unaffected by Western sanctions against Russia, as it is not connected to the Russian government or any of its officials.Oleg cannot source new Saiga rifles directly from the factory in Russia as KalashnikovConcern (formerly Izhmash) is directly named on the list of sanctioned companies whilst, bizarrely, Molot (manufacturers of the Vepr-12 and RPK-74 amongst others) aren't listed.Fedaykin wrote:Are not Orsis caught up with sanctions against Russia, same as Oleg not being able to source Saiga's any more.

Re: Orsis 120
My understanding is no import licences are currently being granted for firearms of any description from the Russian federation and my OIL clearly states:
OPEN INDIVIDUAL LICENCE Not valid for goods originating in or consigned from Iran, North Korea, Libya, Syria or the Russian Federation.(including any previous name by which these territories have been known).
