E MAIL FROM A CLUB TONIGHT

#1 Post by Dellboy »

There is a requirement from the home office, that a log is required of every firearm and its' serial no to be kept for every time they are shot at the club, this is now being emphasized from AUG this year. Accordingly please can you supply details of rifles etc and their serial nos, so I can update our records. This includes all shoots run by club , this only applied to section 1 FAC section 5 shotguns are not included.

SO IS THIS TRUE

Can anyone provide a link to this guidance please?

We recently had our HO Approval renewed and have not been asked to do this.

Only applies to firearms for which authority was granted for use in a home office approved club.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

My home club has always had this policy. We declare which firearm we're using at each visit and it's recorded by the duty manager.
