The weight and balance of the rifle is quite nice IMO, even for a "capitalist" rifle... :good:

I'll have the one on the left please..... :good:

About the only post-1945 rifle I'd consider owning......along with an Enfield Enforcer.

+ the one on the left will be alot cheaper than an Enforcer. The M14's do shoot well.

Well, there is that.......however, I do have links to the Enforcer's from my past that would make owning one a plus.

The M14's lovely to shoot and I think well priced. :good:

When I eventually get mine re-barrelled, I'll try the "Mil-Spec stainless steel heavy profile match grade barrel" (similar to the barrel manufactured by the US Naval Surface Warfare Center/Crane Division - M14 Squad Sniper Rifle system)

- Lothar Walther 22" precision button rifled barrel, 6 groove, 1:10 twist

Yep - LuxDefTec who interestingly also make L1A1's but I have no idea whether they're recognised as S1 or S5.

I've seen that sage one first hand, rare things so I was told. Quite a significant bit of kit.

Thanks for the links!
