LOVEX D032 - SOURCING IN OXFORDSHIRE

#1 Post by Dark Skies »

Does anybody know of a stockist for Explosia Lovex D032 propellant in the Oxfordshire area?
It works well in my downloaded .357 rounds and I'm running a bit low.

I gather Accurate #2 is the exact same stuff made in the same factory but it's more expensive - something to to with USA / EU pricing hoohah.

Any powder with the same burn rate will do.

Give Mike @ Westlander a call, he'll let you know who stocks it.

Is Francis Lovell worth a try?

Bullseye - yuck - or is it not as filthy as it used to be ?

Its a pity Vectan AS has just doubled in price as we had been using lots of it at my club.
It was selling at less than £40 a kilo.
Nice and bulky and very clean burning.
There is a Spanish made powder that is available with similar burn rate that is reasonably cheap.

The reason I specified Lovex D032 is because it flows with consistent accuracy through my Lee powder measure.
I have a load that is cock on for my existing supply of lead bullets put through my Winchester Trapper. It's a really sweet recipe and I am loathe to experiment with anything else for competition shooting unless it is no longer obtainable. I'll try Francis as I'm popping in at some point this week but I'm not holding my breath. There's a great reloading shop in Kidlington but it doesn't supply Lovex or Accurate unfortunately.

I started using true blue and love it, the only issue using it in my SGC 9mm lever release is the gas blownback makes my eyes water for the first few shots.

ramshot give data for it in 357, along with just about every pistol cartridge... except for 32acp

the powder is so fine, you shouldn't struggle for it to meter (might have leaking issues though)
