Scrap lead

#1 Post by Alpha1 »

Our first consignment of scrap lead arrived to day. Two pallets. Each pallet contains 1 tonne. This is now a regular order with the Supplier. Its to feed the lead smelter. I think I need to invest in a few more moulds it would be a shame to waste it.

We are buying this in as a Company not as a individual. We buy it from a local scrap metal processing plant.

Why do you want so much - selling it on as ingots?

Scrap price for lead has been "up to" £1 / Kilo for quite a while now with a few lows in the market close to 50p / Kilo,

Never fails to surprise me how little space a ton of lead actually takes up, you know it is heavy but it still looks small when you see it.
