I've had nothing but good service from them the last few variations. Hopefully it'll go the same way on the next one!

Handed in a variation for 9 mm rifle on Monday to police Scotland Dundee and was told keep your certificate as we're quoting 12 weeks turn round at the moment.

Oh well, only 8 weeks to wait until I get mine back then...

Strange isn't it - how there can be so much variation in the service received, yet ALL the licensing offices are working to the same set of Laws & Acts??

If Durham can provide this impressive level of service NOW - how come previously it was a different case?
What has changed at Durham to bring about such a contrast?

Same as other force areas; some take a couple of days for simple tasks, others need months for carrying out EXACTLY the same job!!!
It's almost as if the difference is one of other agendas being put in the way of efficiency...office politics, personal axes to grind on the part of the staff, edicts from on high....who knows?

Wonder WHICH of the two contrasting examples will be the ones that shout loudest in any future attempt to bring in some sort of "full costs recovery" type BS.
