Also is the buffer heavier then a 5.56mm buffer ?
I really don't see why not. The maximum amount that I have put through mine at one time was a 100 rounds.

I have no idea what the buffer for the 9mm weighs or if there is a difference between the 9mm and .45
I could weigh the buffer for you if you would really like to know.

The buffer is a 556 buffer. I have a carbine in mine with a small spacer to take up the slack in the tube
When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns

intresting, from reading online about 9mm AR's they normally use a heavier buffer to stop the blow back bolt from comming back too early

The bolt on the SGC lever release is not a standard 9mm AR bolt. It's SGCs own and weighs over 13oz alone!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

The heavier buffer reduces the cyclic rate to help feed on full auto and to reduce bolt bounce, both are not an issue for the SGC LR rifle.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
