If you are having an issue with an RCBS product then you should contact RCBS technical support. They are first class and RCBS customer/product support is second to none.

Alpha1 wrote:I lube each case indivually with imperial sizing wax or similar the lube does not go any were near the flash hole ? I just dip my finger in the wax and lightly coat the case. The bulk of my reloading is done with L.E.Wilson neck bushing dies you don't need to use any lube on the cases with these type of dies.

The rock chucker press comes with a large and small primer arm so you can prime on the press.
I think you are confusing my question. I am not concerned with the case lube blocking the flash hole. Since you are using imperial wax you must clean this off your cases after you full length size. Your post that I quoted mentioned that :
If I am full lentgh sizing cases I will use the priming arm on the press.
I was simply asking if you full length sized, then primed the case while it's still on the shell holder in one stroke of the press handle. If that is correct, I would be concerned with the subsequent cleaning to remove the case lube from the case body and inside neck. If you are tumbling, then you can block the flash hole with corn/walnut media with no way to remove since you've already seated the primer. If you are wet cleaning, well, need I say more about wet cleaning with primers seated in cases!!

I have a new RCBS priming tool, and am having major issues with it jamming on every primer.

But I suspect they will say it is the lee universal shell holder I am using

Quite probably, I use the RCBS shell holder and I've never had a problem, not one.

Welshshooter.
I don't lube the inside of the case neck I have never needed to.
If I'm full lentgh sizing I seat the primer on the down stroke of the press so the case stays in the shell holder for the sizing and priming sequence. I then just wipe the case with a dry cloth to remove the lube.
I would NEVER put a primed case in a tumbler.
All my case cleaning and prep is done before I resize. I do use a dry media tumbler to clean my cases.
I normally tumble the cases then remove the primer using a Lee hand held press with a Lee universal de priming die. The cases are then inspected with a small torch to make sure nothing is left inside the case. The cases then go on a L.E.Wilson case trimmer the primer pocket is uniformed and the cases cut to length. The cases are then resized and primed.
Sorry about hijacking your thread.

Any particular reason why not (apart from having to check for kernels in the flash hole)?

I don't understand why you would want to once you have resized the case and seated a new primer why would you then put it in a tumbler.
