Can you change the barrel of a at 308 to say 6.5X47 yourself or is that only the ax model

Yes you can, as long as it uses the same bolt face

The 6.5x47 will use the same bolt face as the 308. Also, the 6.5x47 will fit in 308 AI magazines easily even if you max out overall length.

For the price it looks a great bit of kit,if I could get a 2ND hand one perfect.I'd like to try the 6.5 creadmore barrel also

A barrel change takes less than 15 seconds on an AI-AT.
