A fixed penalty notice IS NOT a conviction ! A conviction can ONLY happen in the criminal court ! Eg. You are over 50% of the speed limit and they decided to prosecute you instead. You get a summons to appear at the local JPs where you be 100% found guilty !!

Conviction without due process is illegal under the bill of rights and EU law
Maybe conviction isn't the right wording but whatever the term it doesn't detract from the fact that I had a fixed penalty from a speed camera and failed to declare it on renewal (thinking I didn't have to), then I got the warning for it.
They asked to see my driving license and then asked to see the paper part (when we had one) and pointed out the speeding points, so I guess they already knew from their records and wanted to see if I realised I had missed it out.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
