Spare thread for Ase Utra Jet Z Compact

#1 Post by breacher »

Need to put a new threaded section on my Ase Utra - 1/2" unf would do.

Found somewhere online the other night selling just the threaded bits alone. about £15 if I remember rightly.

I figure thats cheaper and less fuss than sending it back for thread change ?

Of course, now I cannot find the website again !!

Any ideas ?

Thread adaptor you mean?

Not adapt - more replace.

The bit with the thread screws in at the back and is easily replaced.

Had to send mine back as couldn't find just the threaded end, nor get the old one out!

Have it as 5/8"-24 now & got a 1/2"-28 to 5/8"-24 adaptor so it'll fit the AR barrels on my CAM's.

Ok - found it by trawling my laptop history !

Seems a much cheaper diy option than sending back to the importer ?

Or am I missing something ?

Should save a few quid over the Jackson rifles option.

I'm very interested in this as a friend wanted to buy second Hand and save a few quid but couldn't find one in the right thread pitch will you keep us updated on how it goes? Some pics would be interesting to if its not a PITA.

Well, it arrived this morning.

The old one was a pain in the ass to get out - a lot of rounds have gone through this mod so it was very seized up.

The item is a simple screw in bit for the rear of the mod.

All done now !!
