The trooper in the photo is Adjudant-Chef Alex Rowe, a British member of the FFL.

After 23 years service, Rowe reached the second highest level of rank among the corps of non-commissioned officers in the French Army, and had been awarded five citations for acts of bravery in operational theatres around the world, culminating in 2009 with the Legion d'honneur for a second tour of Afghanistan

Funnily enough, the pic I uploaded came from a google image search on him, strange the British Army and Police wouldn't take him but the FFL did.

The scope is a Trijicon 1-4 Accupoint. The second pic shows the "window" nicely.

Explains why he wasn't scruffy and enlisted in the Legion..... He's a Roast Beef!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

In response to both Sim G and Blackstuff.....

Can you really be a Geordie from Newcastle? I'm sure the only true Geordies according to my dad's family come from North Shields and they came more from Weirside and the Sunderland area. So not true Geordies and I'm sure you might fall under that Category, but good on Alex Rowe for doing what's he's done at the same time.
