RFD's = possibly the biggest harbingers of doom & misinformation on the planet!
I've dealt with some RFD's that refuse to believe & COMPLY with the written laws as they now stand, as "...the local FEO says not to..."!!
Worked at a couple of main importers: their lack of firearms legislation knowledge was underwhelming - the majority of staff = not a clue; the latter importers was ONLY motivated by £££ per month so the boss could froth at the mouth over his bank balance.
The really knowledgeable RFD's in the UK are very few & far between...several trade on here, some don't.
Not YET heard any RFD mention the proposed changes about to be discussed in Westminster:
Section 2 to go
Section 58 to go
.22 pistols to come back onto FAC
.22 pistols back onto FAC, as in Section 1? That'd be awesome.
NOT awesome would be the loss of Section 2 & Section 58
ALL caliber pistols back, ALL caliber self-loading rifles back PLUS scrap Section 1 (all lon-arms on Section 2 type certificate; similar to New Zealand)
Now THAT would be "awesome"!

Yes, that would be awesome I would certainly apply for them. Would fit it well for 3-gun competition...... so long as they don't impose all sorts of storage restricts upon them.

This meeting happened recently, within the last month or two. Apparently both SGC and CSA are aware of the situation..... that is what I was told.

I like to see the link about .22 pistols back to sections one! Nothing in any amendments in the bill currently at comitte stage !
As for the lever release thing I kept hearing about this over the last 10 years which included 50cal, section one shotguns and semi auto .22lr.
If this any turth to this I expect our shooting organsations to start lobbying! Then again or just agree and bow down to the amazing and must be obayed the people's communist acpo
If they come for lever release, the next step will be straight pulls etc until there is nothing left apart from f-class and side by side or over and under shoguns only !
