As a very occasional clay pigeon shooting participant I have no issue with legal and responsible use.
Clearly it is for Parliament to decide legislation around firearms but it's fair to say there are easier to obtain potentially lethal weapons from cars to knifes to swords and drugs.
All that said I wouldn't support an American style free for all but then I suspect the vast majority of shooting sport participants in the UK wouldn't either. Thanks for your enquiry.

Unfortunately, the best man did not win. Five years of some "boy" who has never had a proper job in his life, running a police force on the brink of implosion. Brilliant.

I voted for the Cheshire PCC candidate after checking with our club officials, both ex police and one is senior firearms officer for BASC. They advised which candidate was pro-shooting sports.
Not one pamphlet or door to door canvassing from any of the local PCC candidates. They couldn't be bothered to introduce themselves and attempt to sway my vote so I couldn't be bothered to vote.

I thought John Dwyer did a good job as PCC - I just hope that Mr Keane carries on the good work, because Cheshire has been giving good service to shooters for quite some time now.
Hmmmm, David Keane (Lab) has ousted John Dwyer (Con) for Cheshire..... Mr Dwyer was the pro-shooting Candidate that was recommended by our club officials / BASC Senior Firearms Officer... But David Keane was the only Candidate for whom a flyer was posted through the letter box.
