I bought one some time ago for £450 with one mag and it needed a bit of work (feed ramp fitting and bolt carrier sorting as someone had mirror polished it!!!) and seen some recently for around £650 but really depends on what people are prepared to pay as they are a bit niche, but I would try to avoid the "no more coming in from Russia" trap which some RFDs are using at the moment for Saigas and Tigrs (SVD).....some are asking silly money because they are "really, really rare Sir".

Alpha....ultimately a Saiga is a civilian AK and isn't designed to look pretty!!!.Anyway looks are subjective, personally I think the SLR/L1A1 is awful especially as a straight pull.
the answer is what people will pay to me is whatever people are willing and what the market dictates.

And it's said alot, for arguments sake, lets say 450-650 in that condition. Don't overplay the none coming in anymore, but don't underplay it either.

We bought our Saiga for £450 almost a year ago.

Just a tip.....
Before you offer for sale remove the rust from the muzzle brake or poeple will think you have not cleaned it recently.

You may have luck now that Oleg has sold out of his AK's....

The muzzle break is a pain - forever running a bronze brush through it.
Press in the plunger at the top and undo the break and soak it in a container of what ever carbon removal liquid you have, leave for awhile wipe over and relpace. I use Hoppes 9.

But if it makes you feel any better Hanams are selling 7.62.39 ammo for £125 a 1000.
You just need to find some were other than Bisley to shoot it or down load it use cast. I shoot my 7.62x39 at 25 yards with a cast bullet.
I can not understand why any body would buy a Saiga AK103 7.62 x 39 I would not have one for free. Sorry if that's not what you want to hear.
Some people just cant keep there thought to themselves, nobody was asking what you thought of it!

Depends on what spares you mean as stocks and handguards etc are easy enough over here, parts like firing pins and FCG springs etc not so easy.

Is that due to those parts being more ak 74 than akm?

Not really, more down to the parts not being readily available from the UK importer, especially with the sanctions in place against KalashnikovConcern.Parts like trigger and hammer springs are pretty interchangeable between the AKM and the 74, the main difference between them besides the calibre difference is the difference in size between the bolt carrier and bolt.

I knew it was the bolt carrier and bolt though, what about the 223 Arsenal and 223 saigas? Are they similar?

cheers, was thinking more along the lines of replacement parts through wear - firing pins/ springs etc

doing more and more range shooting these days so something like this could be perfect :)
