And you are bringing a 3rd into it ! Legality ffs ?
This thread is not about someone coming down to Bisley impersonating a serving soldier. Someone who does that, ie military haircut, full CORRECT uniform, correct boots, correct insignia ............................... I have been going to Bisley for over 20 years and have never seen anybody impersonating a soldier.
This thread is about a shooter being allowed to wear what he wants ( just like he can shoot whatever rifle he wants ). Yes, a shooter may turn up with matching MTP trousers and jacket - but if he has a pot belly, long hair and a beard - and has teamed up the ensemble with trainers or welly boots, he is not making any serious attempt to "impersonate"
Your "legality" contribution is a red herring at best !!
And it was 2475 :-)
So, having heard your opinion on MTP clothing, what do you feel about magazine pouches ? And what about rifles cerakoted in "military" finishes ? What about civilians shooting at "military" figure targets ?
Now I get it ... Your funny car is used by the Italian police isn't it Breacher?
Better start swaping tea for expresso and wear decent sunglasses even in winter.
Oh ...and to be really convincing you'll need to start staring at the chix' bum as well ...
That sadly might prove very difficult at Bisley

Nah. Fred knows what he is talking about
Unlike Maggot, as Fred's not CFAV any more and hasn't been for a while now.
Wearing the issue kit when you aren't on duty is frowned upon. But wearing a surplus jacket or UBACS as they are the best thing on the market for lying around in the dirt and shooting is good common sense, not walting. Likewise surplus goretex, [paraphrasing Maggot] any fool can be uncomfortable, cold and wet.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.
Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
