That was the only one I have ever seen for sale and I bought it straight away. The chap was asking a very good price for it but I would have paid three times that for it, as you say you just don't see them. It works very well too. Evidently it was a tad too over engineered and fragile for the troops though, that along with the cost methinks is why it was never fully adopted, only being in use for a couple of years
I was also lucky that one of my No2s has the chamfered bolt face for the magazine. So a happy marraige.

Initially the thought of rattling a .22LR down a .303 seemed strange but I suspect at 25 yards they are probably quite accurate and a good training tool, have you tried it out yet?

I recently bought this Parker apperture sight for the LL it should have a backing plate but it works set up like this , its not a standard model 9 , a bit different in construction for some reason .
