Got about three more different safes sonce last variation.
They'll know about them when they need to know....no need to bother them otherwise: knowing what they're like if you volunteer too much too often they'll make it compulsary & use it as an excuse to raise prices. Again.

When the FEO visited my for my renewal and saw that l had installed another safe in a different part of the house he almost arrested me on the spot and claimed that l had breached the conditions of my FAC and committed a serious offence because l had not advised them. When l asked where this was stated he said it was in the Home Office Guidance notes. When l replied that l had read the notes several times and couldn't recall seeing anything about advising anyone on installing a cabinet he said he was certain it was in there. I then asked if he could let me know as soon as he could where it was stated he said not a problem. I am still waiting to hear and that was almost six months ago. Methinks a load of baloaney.

Buy it - bolt it - fill it. The FEO can check it at the next renewal. ;)

I needed to speak with my FLO on a different subject, when he called me, I mentioned that I had moved my safe from the accessible loft to a dedicated store room. His comment was something like "Thanks for telling me and in your case there is no need. Provided it is well secured as your last one was, I'll have a look in a couple of years time when I do your renewal".

They must get a feeling for individuals how well their cabinets are installed.

When I changed my cabinet for a larger one I emailed the FEO (Met) to tell him. He just asked for pictures of the fixings.
