Hi, it's very light on recoil, much lighter than I recall SLRs being, but it was a long time ago. It definitely needs a longer stock, it's not at all comfortable for me to shoot. Until that's sorted accuracy isn't a given. A mate of mine who's a fair bit shorter than me & has a lot of experience behind proper L1A1s thought it reasonably accurate for the breed even with the shorter barrel.bnz41 wrote:Hi John, huntervixen wrote:Hi Neil,
Ah, so that's what a Congo barrel looks like in the raw, the inch gas block sits well forward of the original dosent it. Well spotted, key missing from the FE.
It will be interesting to hear how she shoots.
I keep looking at the gas block there seems to be something under it around the barrel as the right hand edge of the underneath bit is not square to the barrel/gas block, it's cut at an angle just under the gas regulator, spacer/sleeve maybe so the gas block fits around the slimmer barrel profile?
What do you think.
I would also be interested in how it shoots if there is alot of recoil the way it's been set up, because my congo is not bad at all on recoil.
Laverda981 WOW just noticed you have a Revolt in .308 how does that shoot for a straight pull, you lucky chap very rare....swap you a go with it, with my M14
Love the Revolt. Super accurate, great ergonomics, next to no recoil - But the noise & muzzle blast is immense. I've had people walk off range rather than shoot next to it.
POF certainly produce a very innovative, technically advanced rifle. Want one in .223 when the Suffolk Rifle situation is, hopefully, happily resolved?
...& I need to save up.
Dunno how many are in the country?
