Six months ...

... for any residents of Scotland to get any air rifles or pistols licensed. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-s ... s-35668626

Can the police there cope? What will happen when they fail to process all of the applications? And how will it affect FAC and SGC renewals and applications. It will certainly create a massive blip in the workload for the foreseeable future!

Well! Police Scotland Glasgow Licensing can't cope just now, can't imagine what will happen after April especially as most of the Airgun crowd say they might as well apply for a FAC or Shotgun licence.

The SNP have no idea of the large amount of serious airgun shooters in Scotland. Not to mention the tens of thousand of law abiding people who will through their own procrastination/ignorance become criminals overnight.

It just means that gun licencing in Scotland will crash and burn which I think, is the eventual plan of the SNP anyway.

I occasionally holiday in Scotland and might take one of my airguns with me. Looks like I should apply for a license.
Anyone else care to add to their woes?

It won't because they will see what happened in Scotland ie meltdown which will need money to fix
No calls for it and too many out there
Scotland will eventually ban all guns from cilvilians once they get full powers like NI and they will

It was touted a long time ago to put airguns on license, but was far too difficult to implement and administer and would criminalise millions of people over night who perhaps have an air rifle tucked in an upstairs wardrobe, forgotten about for years. Not to mention the greatest risk with airguns is criminal damage, not public safety.

The airguns licensing system in Scotland has come about due to political posturing over the issue of extremely poor parenting, child neglect and a stinking junkie, which led to the death of a two year old boy. Scottish legislators should be ashamed for the falsehood they have created.

The rabid SNP promised the world in an attempt to shake off the "yoke of British oppression" and the Scots will continue to pay continually, for decades to come, with poor legislation based on a unicorn and fairy dust Socialist utopia...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!
