Hi all
i have a spare slot for a 303 but was thinking of changing this to a 6.5x55 For a swedish mauser military type
does it differ from force to force? i think i previously read somewhere here that a letter requesting this was suffice?
i wouldnt say i dont get on with my FEO but his humour is rather awkward and rude, infact a variation just weeks ago he said if anything ever comes in again he will throw it straight in the bin!!! and that i had tooo many rifles,so i dont wish to complain either as renewal comes up at the end of the year
i may phone the Dept and ask if a letter (hopefully ) would suffice and take the cert to be changed/.
also if anyone knows where to find a swed mauser military style and a good sgooter please let me know as well
regards
douglas

Hi Douglas,
I was lucky enough to only have to provide a letter to my FEO requesting my variation, cant say if its standard practice or not, but from the post to my thread i would say not

Absolutely, if you don't have a vacant slot of the appropriate calbre then you have no authority to acquire the gun and no one can transfer a gun to you. So the variation must be entered on your certificate by FL.

Need to fill in a full form up here, no letters. But, that said, they are quick as hell so I don't mind.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
Re: changing a spare slot for another calibre
Nope just put a quick letter together and took it with me with my certificate, they did it there and then. 10 mins later I drove away with my new cert with the variation added with a Have a good day an enjoy your new purchase from the FEO :)douglas670 wrote:Hi convict keeper
