Used one for the second time last night, loved it, went to have a look at his gun builder ap on his site, got to say if I were to ever get one I'd buy the base receiver and barrel and buy the handguard, buffer etc myself, waaaayyy more expensive than most other retailers on sundries such as grips and stocks.

I was at the club last night and overheard someone mention 9mm ammo to which my ears pricked up.... got talking to the guy and discovered that he is a very happy SGC 9mm owner. I arranged to meet him again this evening at the club and he very kindly let me try out his rifle. Put 8 rounds through it and it was awesome..... really well balanced and easy to shoot. It was the Glock mag version in pretty much the same build configuration that I want. :good:

Yeah, wasn't a full mag... but it was enough for me to get a feel for the rifle :good:

I have had plenty of guys at my range have a try with my 9mm LR, to be fair I typically offer a full mag but most try half a dozen or so before asking if they should stop,

I'm guessing they thinking of ammo costs etc, whereas I try to push them to use a full mag so as to get a good feel for it.

I would sooner they get a good go and enjoy it, than a few shots and feel undecided, as I reload for it i'm not too worried over an extra 10 rounds or so.

..... I will be picking up my very own brand new SGC 9mm on Saturday, from Shooting Supplies, Bromsgrove.

Spec:
FLUTED BARREL WITH MUZZLE BREAK,
10" QUAD FOREND, CASE DEFLECTOR,
TUNED TRIGGER, AMBI MAG RELEASE,
G27 GRIP AND MAGPUL CTR STOCK

Then off to the Shooting Show to collect a Vortex scope etc.

Get the new wave shaped lever fitted much easier to use.

Hoping there is some cheap 9mm at the show as l have rattled through a fair amount since picking mine up from Bromsgrove.

Have a look at the Vortex Strike Eagle scope as it works well on mine.

You can fit them yourself but you've got to be very careful as if you let the spring that holds the lever 'unwind' when you take the lever off it needs to go to SGC to be reset. :bad:

Its fairly simple though. If you look inside the release mech with the receivers separated and see the pin that the lever is attached to there should be a small allen key slot in the top. You need to hold an allen key in there to stop it moving/unwinding and then you can take off the lever/put the new one on.

Its a few years since i bought the upgrade lever for mine (which was just a bigger straight one, rather than the 'wave' one) IIRC it was £25.

EDIT; i thought i'd took a pic of this a while ago, heres the hole you use to immobilse the lever pin;
