Initial impressions are that it is more accurate than an AK.
Initial impressions are that everything and anything that shoots a projectile is more accurate than an AK. There FIFY :D

Sorry mate, I tried I really did, but I just couldn't resist

Its a 2001 stainless Mini 14, not got it down the range yet, but looking forward to a bit of plinking with it!

If its half as much fun as the SVDS I'll be chuffed cheers

Fred
Nice looking rifle there Fred. I've always like the Mini 14 such great fun to shoot. The only hard part about owning one is resisting all the things that can be changed or attached to it.

Two very nice looking rifles, if they shoot as good as they look, you're in for a lot of fun. Enjoy!

Not to everyone's taste, but I like to have fun when I shoot and these sure are fun, the serious and collectables will, I am sure come along in time.

You are very consistent on how they should look - Maybe you could put the 3 pics side-by-side, photoshop them with some funky trendy effects, and call your newly created trytic "modern de-construction of a imperialist tool". I sure it would sell & could finance your next one in 308 (sand CTR stock of course !) ;)

Very nice trio you have there :good:

Thanks, Though I just swapped out the FDE buttstock on the 5.56 LR for a black one to try and move away from the FDE family look.

I was seriously and still am if truth be known thinking of going for accents in fluorescent Green for a different look, but the cost of the 5.56 Lever Release is kinda making me think twice, after spending all that on buying a "black" rifle, I'm not so sure I would want to then turn it bright green.

Might have to do that to the Smith instead as they not so expensive, or maybe turn it Lava Red with Hogue clothes instead. :D

why does the cost of the rifle stop you from having it look the way you want? it's yours, have it look how you like!

Think I will maybe try it out on a cheaper option first, then IF i like it swap parts round to big brother, would hate to cerakote parts on an expensive 3 week old rifle to then find I don't like the look of how it turns out.. aaarggh
