A logical solution would be for people to pick up their plastic wads at the same time as they pick up their fired cases or is it not that simple?
When I shot on BZ last year we walked the range when we'd finished and picked up all the fired cases, wads and any other bits of plastic rubbish we could find. It took about 10 mins.
I assume this is not done by some shooters and the range is left in a mess. Hence the NRA banning plastic wads. Can't blame them really.

Yea, net a blame issue....not when several clubs have suggested doing exactly this....to a negative response from the NRA...

...... there is a limit on plastic wad ammunition. Basically no home loads with plastic cup wads. Gecco and S&B slug with plastic wads are allowed.
........ Expect to be checked on these two matters when shooting at Bisley, I have been informed that staff are going to carry regular checks.

Looks like all homeloaded slug with plastic wad is banned.
I'll put my recipe for Lee slug and fibre wads on shortly.
Please could you post your recipe.
Thanks

Have the NRA explained why they have felt the need to bring in this ban?

Drop off in sales of factory slug in their shop?
Spare ink in the printers & empty space to fill on the website/bulletin/rule books?
It's their bat & their ball...?

On a recent target shotgun intro day, it was explained that wildlife has been known to ingest them.

Someone asked if they have given a reason, and that is one we were told.

So what about the gazillions of plastic wads on the various clay layouts at Bisleycentric?
