variation question

Quick question guys regarding a variation.can I do a one for one from 7.62/308 to 7.62x54r.thanks

Depending on your RFD you've GOT the slot for 7.62 already

7.62 X 45 R is actually .311, same as .303

I would say it also depends on which licensing force you're under, don't some take 7.62/.308 as being 7.62x51 and its commercial equivalent?

Currently I've not had a rfd who will sell me a Mosin nagant.I'm under police scotland and I believe they take it as 7.62x51 as said above.cheers

YES. To answer your actual question. You can can do a 1-4-1 variation for any calibre to any calibre, there is no restriction in licensing terms.

Obviously if you were going for something radically different you may need to supply further information to confirm you have a 'good reason'

I've 1-4-1'ed a .22 sound mod for a multi-shot shotgun, a spare barrel for an LBP, a lower receiver for a 7.62x39mm rifle, etc Anything is possible providing you can still satisfy the 'good reason' requirement for what you're after.

Nope, as long as you are not increasing the number of firearms ie swapping one for another it's free.
