Does Mike Yardley not realise that when he says he hasn't called for bans, we have screen caps to prove him so and freedom of speech is completely unrelated to a private employment by magazine's who's customers (who in the age of declining readership have more power than ever) stated how they would withdraw their subscription unless he was sacked for basically insulting them. Is he really that self-centered and thick he can't see he's his own worst enemy and will burn bridges not just here (at least a few RFD's are horrified and aware of his spile that I personally know) to the point where he has very few friends left in the uk and europe even? If so, what a tool.Dark Skies wrote:spangled wrote:Very good! I see that our favourite Mr Yardley has found and commented in his now-familiar style.
I suspect that he's going to wear out his keyboard if he carries on at this rate....
This chap has the measure of him:
"Mike Yardley can spin it any way he likes but the fact remains he is pandering to those who would like to dismantle all shooting sports in the UK and the EU. He is encouraging legislation based on cosmetics rather than any sound meaningful reasoning. Furthermore he is assisting in peddling the lie that the public will somehow be protected from terrorism by foisting this nonsense on legitimate, decent, law-abiding shooters. And, looking at the wider view, he is encouraging the theft by the state of legally owned property.
The core fact is governments really don't like shooting sports. They don't like the idea of anyone other than themselves owning them. They will do anything to be rid if civilian shooters and are hugely inconvenienced that in our faux democracies so many people enjoy shooting in so many disciplines. It makes it hard to ban them and retain votes. So they play the longer game - over many decades. A slow but constant drip of legislation to foist the illusion of safety on the general public and acclimatize shooters to limply accept the next set of measures. Break resistance up by focusing on one group of shooters while the others stand idle because their shooting discipline is safe (for the moment) and it is is hardly resistance at all. And so it continues.
Clearly Mike Yardley's exquisite and rather expensive shotguns will probably be safe for many years to come - so that's all right then. Mike, I don't post under my real name because I have a duty as a responsible firearm owner to observe basic security protocols. Flagging myself as likely owning a number of firearms and shotguns when posting my two pence on forums would be an invitation to treat to criminals. That's how we do our bit to prevent crime and terrorism - by employing common sense You should give it a go."

Yardley is a charlatan. In modern Psychology he's regarded as as a narcissistical attention seeker with psychopathic traits. He doesn't just pose a risk to the sport but to society on the whole.
Personally, I prefer the perfect colloquialism of "Bell End" when ever he's referenced. "Yardley the Bell End". Yes, suits him nicely...

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Thanks Sim, it's funny watching his ramblings and attempts to pass himself off as a serious journalist, serious journalists don't engage in p*** matching in the youtube comments sections and call people keyboard warriors or try and explain away stuff that people have screen caps of the stuff we know he said, if he was honest he'd have owned up and admitting to having his hand in the biscuit barrel, but he'll just keep on digging his hole and looking like an even Bigger Bell End than before. In truth he burnt way too many bridges and probably fails to realize how much of a joke outside his small clique he is and is the not the ambassador he thinks he is. Walter Mitty comes to mind as well.Sim G wrote:Yardley is a charlatan. In modern Psychology he's regarded as as a narcissistical attention seeker with psychopathic traits. Even Gunmart have distanced themselves from him, the last editorial (stopping short of naming him, probably due to a GM lawyers warning), firmly pushed him away from the publication with the proverbial s*** stick!
He really has burnt his bridges hasn't he..

You all must moderate your language, if the filter gets it then you shouldn't use it and disguising swear words isn't on either.
This an open forum and you debase your arguments and your selves with such language, even although the subject in question may seem merit it.
Is this the sort of language that you would be happy for strangers in a public place to hear you use?
If it is then you should really rethink your behaviour in relation to others.

Much as I agree that swearing at Weish is about all they are fit for, being failed Celts. We should still refrain from doing so on here.
