Robert, as you stated before, with luck the new proposals by the Law Commission will clarify such details.

From a personal view I would ask for sight of FAC if I was asked for a firing pin from an unknown/new customer. It is my prerogative and my livelihood, we have a number we can call 24/7 if we ever have any concerns about potential sales. I would use it in the blink of an eye if I have even the slightest doubt.

Absolutely right, I have already offered to email a image of my FAC with a large red "COPY" across it (Can't be too careful these days).

If he says no, then I certainly wouldn't blame him.

Cheers John.

I have ordered and received "metal pins" from both Germany and the USA without any issues.

Any competent machinist could make one up anyway.

That's one thing we don't need is more vaguely worded "rules" which neither serve the cause of justice and the needs of the citizens devised by unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats.

I've bought two FP's here.........no questions or FAC required on either occasion.

Some components are controlled with regard to export/import. Specific components such as those component parts specially designed for firearms appear on the ML1 of The Export Control Order 2008. When it comes to cross border shipment things aren't quite as cut and dried.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
