Moving this thread from Wanted Remington 1858:

I am just starting in this fun discipline, I am based in Co Durham, have we any local clubs shooting this in the North ? I see a few in Lincs, Staffs and Liverpool, plus one in North Yorks. Any closer to Durham ?

Thought they were for robbing banks ???!!!!!!

I am looking at a Pedisoli Wyatt Earp SbS Hammer gun 20" - As far as I know this is the shortest barrels allowed in CAS. - Could be wrong

You just need to say your Jesse James - it may be Ok then

bradaz11, where on Earth did you read that about the reason for wearing gun belts with the buckle to the rear? Please show me a period photograph.

For ideas of CORRECT holsters & leather gear, check out a book called "Packing Iron"

My personal favourite period holster is the Slim Jim.
Blackstuff is more of a Texas JockStrap sorta hombre.....though I'd not think he'd have a problem finding "chaps"

I've made quite a few of the holster designs from the book in the past & still make a few of the related accessories.

The book is an ideal late Xmas present as its only about £20.

was told it by a few people.

as for period photos, they aren't going to show you that much, not like they are going to be a candid look into their everyday casual wear is it?
