Just survivor's reports of automatic fire & the absence of jubilant declarations from the Antis groups pointing to the use of legal semi-auto.
Ah, survivor's reports...like the ones that described Derek Bird's .22 as a 'huge sniper rifle'. I also heard survivor's reports of automatic fire, followed by video and audio clips of (rapid) single shots. I wouldn't want to base my argument on these reports. Like I said, something more concrete, which maybe just hasn't emerged yet.

More from my European friend,he's worried and angry!
As you can see, it is plain in anyone eyes that this is something that the UK is pushing in their private agenda!!!! From the XX LIBERALS WHO THINK THAT THEY KNOW how the world works, and want the people to be disarmed so that they cannot defend themselves ever!!!!!

Very true. They are more interesed in getting rid of Assad than ISIS, and it's supporters. Where the US is on the top of that list!!!! Then there is Saudi Arabia, Quatar, and Kuwait! Only Putin is really interested in eliminating ISIS!

In any case, the unarming of the people in Europe is also our fault. The same thing that happened in the UK is happening now. The people who own handguns, or hunting rifles say that this doesn't effect us, but in the future it will! Or they are afraid to sign the petition for whatever reason! I know who signed, and who didn't the petition that I sent you. Because, everyone who signs the thread of the petition that I sent you. They send me a mail saying that this or that person signed it after you. Of all of the people that I sent it to, only 3 people signed it. Including people who alreaedy own semi-automatic rifles, or people who I know that always talk, yes, talk, of how they will come, and get our guns in the future, and will do this or that if they do!!! Now that it is happening, they don' t even take the time to sign this on-line petition! SHEEP, and at this point, whatever happens to there firearms. It serves them right!!!!! Also in the UK, because Theresa May said that they will also relook at there UK gun laws now. Why, because the proposal talks about prohibitinig all semi-automatic weapons that look like automatic ones. It does not say anything in it about caliber. So, as it is formulated, it will include 12 gauge, and 22 caliber rifles as well! So let them take our guns, but then I do not want to here anyone of them cry that it happens. When it will happen! Because it will happen!!!
Political Correctness is the language of lies, written by the corrupt , spoken by the inept!

froggy wrote:Crap, could effect semi / auto handguns i would have to buy a revolver.

Utterly pointless as if we left them take away SA today, revolvers will be next to be banned tomorow...

Far better to fight for what you have now. The proposal is actually a perfekt opportunity for all the European gun owners to unite & to expose the opportunistic duplicity of the Bxls un-elected gun-grabers to the public .

Sign the current petition & write to your MEP & MP now :good:

I know, if it went trough it would clear my cabinet out. I have aready emailed two of our MEP/s waiting on a responce.

This was emailed to all our club members last night by our Chairman, it’s the text he used in a letter to our MEP. He’s asked us all to send a similar letter and from the email responses it looks like quite a few club members have. Although I think its very unlikely to affect us in the UK it only took 5 minutes to draft so I’m off to the Post Office now with a hand penned version.
Dear

Following the awful terrorist attacks on Paris on 13 November 2015 the EU commission voted to make amendments to the Firearms Directive. The Commission's officials are making a misleading connection between legal ownership of various types of firearm and the illegal possession of weapons by terrorist criminals. It is expected that you will be asked to vote in the European Parliament on a proposal for revision of Directive.

The impact of these proposals and the potential prohibition of legally owned firearms that are already subject to strict controls, will have no impact the firearms used by terrorist criminals. Whilst this is expected to have little practical impact in the United Kingdom it could be used to further restrict the ownership and use of some classes of firearm currently allowed. You maybe aware that there is already a study taking place by the Law Commission on reviewing UK firearms legislation which is seeking to streamline and simplify the various statutes that are used to ensure public safety with respect to firearms ownership. Could I please urge you to consider very carefully the possible punitive effect rushed and ill thought through European legislation may have on a significant number of people who present no danger or security threat to the European Union as a whole or individual member states.

Yours respectfully
froggy
