I think you will find this is changing. Maritime Security was used an excuse to apply for S5 a few years ago however these days I am not so sure it is being accepted as there are now 'floating armouries' in place, so you can fly out and be issued with whatever on site.huntervixen wrote:There is also an increasing number of Maritime Security Companies requiring Sec5 for UK based training of their staff.

Certainly a growing demand for old spec deactivated L1A1's for the maritime training role David..
