Renaissance Wax
Does anyone have experience of Renaissance Wax for the protection of firearms or similar for long term storage? I read on the Wiki entry for the product "It is widely recognised that this substance is more protective and longer lasting than oil"

Re: Renaissance Wax
It is used by members of the American Colt Collectors Association to protect multi-thousand dollar pistols so I guess it has some merit. The British Museum also use it apparently. A little goes a long way. I've used it on antique guns in the past but not for extended periods, more to prevent damage from handling.
